1. General
Relaxation, exhilaration and enjoyment is what tour members should
be ready for. The organization and details have been looked after, and our guides and drivers
are committed to providing you with the most enjoyable and effortless holiday possible.
2. Trip Deposits
The deposit for every trip is $500.00 (Canadian) per person. Deposits may be made by certified cheque from a Canadian bank in Canadian funds, or US funds at the current exchange rate for Canadian dollars, Visa or Mastercard.
Motorcycles require a $2500.00 (Canadian)(approximatley $1700.00 US funds) security deposit (Visa or Mastercard), due at time of rental, or a $500 deposit if optional collision insurance is purchased.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing, and are effective once received. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made
for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation.
Number of days prior to trip start and cancellation charge:
91+ days, $100.00 Canadian per person
61-90 days, 25% of trip and rental price per person
45-60 days, 50% of trip and rental price per person
30-44 days, 65% of trip and rental price per person
15-29 days, 85% of trip price per person
0-14 days, 100% of trip price per person
In the unlikely event that Canadian Rockies Motorcycle Tours must cancel a trip, all payments received to date will be
refunded, which constitutes full settlement.
4. Paying Your Balance and Early Payment Discounts.
The balance of your trip cost is due 30 days prior to departure.
5. Special Arrangements
Any participant leaving a tour early for any reason must make their own arrangements regarding transportation of themselves, their luggage and belongings, and vehicle to the final tour destination.
6. Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for choosing a trip and motorcycle that suits their abilities, fitness, level and state of health, providing our office with a completed and signed release and medical information forms prior to trip departure (guests will
not be permitted to join a trip without this information on file, arriving at the trip start with a valid motorcycle licence and the clothing and gear recommended, respecting the laws and customs of countries visited;
following environmental guidelines and regulations while on a tour according to the trip instructions or a guide; respecting the rights and privacy of other trip members. A guest may be asked to leave a trip if a guide or employee feels that the
person's continuing participation may prove detrimental to the well-being and enjoyment of other guests or employees.
Guests are responsible for all traffic tickets, fines and violations. A handling fee of $20.00 will be charged for unpaid tickets.(Photo radar is used by the police in British Columbia in some areas).
7. Limitations of Liability
We encourage responsible and safe behavior which respects and follows the laws and customs of Canada and promotes safe motorcycling.
Travel, and in particular motorcycle travel, has an inherent risk. Canadian Rockies Motorcycle Tours does not assume responsibility for bodily injury, nor for damage or loss of any personal effects and belongings. We strongly reccommend travel insurance covering loss, damage or theft of luggage and personal belongings; personal injury;
accidents and illness. All participants will be required to sign an assumption of risk and release of liability as part of their registration. No liability shall be incurred by Adventure Motorcycle and Sportscar Touring Inc.(dba Canadian Rockies Motorcycle Tours) for delay, loss, damage, or injury to person or property while a participant is using the facilities of an airline or other transportation line, or during a trip.
We reserve the right to make route and hotel modifications as necessary to improve the trip quality or to accomodate the well-being and comfort of our guests. If a reserved Harley Davidson model is not available, a substitute Harley will be provided, and
our limitation to financial remuneration will be the normal difference between the two bikes provided. A more expensive motorcycle may be substituted at no charge.
8. Insurance:
VMI INSURANCE
Collision and public liability insurance ($5 million) is provided free
of charge with $3,000.00 deductible per occurrence. The deductible may be
reduced to $1,000.00 with the purchase of VMI
(VACATION INTERRUPTION PROTECTION
MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE) at $20.00
per day ( max. premium 21 days). VMI also
covers incurred expenses of up to the daily rate with 0 km paid by the renter
in the event of a mechanical breakdown requiring vehicle to be in for repairs
for more than 12 hours. Radio, tire damages and cruise control are not
considered to be mechanical breakdowns. A limit of $1000.00 per tour applies.
Customer must present all receipts for refund of expense.
INSURANCE IS NULL AND VOID WITHOUT A POLICE/INSURANCE REPORT.
INSURANCE AND SECURITY DEPOSIT OF EQUAL AMOUNT OF DEDUCTIBLE will be
processed. Security Deposits are refundable upon vehicle check-in if it has
been returned:
Deposits must be given by charge card and will be refunded by same.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
The following losses are not covered if damage is caused by:
- Deliberate or willful damage by renter or guests
- Driving if under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- More passengers than the available seats
- Operation by anyone under 21 years of age or not licensed
- Failure to maintain all fluid levels
- Travel in restricted areas
- Failure to use specified fuel
DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY
In the event of loss or damage to the vehicle while on rental, whether or
not due to the fault of the rental customer, the customer's responsibility for
direct and accidental loss or damage to the vehicle is limited to a maximum of
$3,000.00 per occurrence. There is no limit, however, if the vehicle incurs loss
or damage as listed under "Customer's Responsibility" above.
Canadian Rockies Motorcycle Tours and its suppliers ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE
FOR HOTEL CHARGES, CAR RENTAL OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL COST
IN THE EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN.

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT, ANY DAMAGE TO VEHICLE, VANDALISM, FIRE OR THEFT, A
POLICE REPORT MUST BE FILED!
STORAGE
Free storage of luggage, personal car and airline tickets is available. All
storage is at the Renter's own risk.
TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
Motorcycles are not permitted on Hwy. 20 to Bella Coola, Alaska, Dempster,
and Cassiar Highways, nor into Death Valley, Mexico, Alaska, Northwest
Territories, or Yukon. Canadian Rockies Motorcycle Tours and its suppliers
assumes no responsibility for loss of time due to mechanical breakdowns while
traveling in a travel restricted area (includes roads designated on the official
provincial and state maps as "other roads - gravel or dirt"). If
traveled without authorization, any repairs or damages occurred in restricted
areas are the renter's responsibility and insurance coverage is void
.NORTHERN RENTALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE
9. When another rental company supplies a
rental, the customer will have to agree and sign their registration form, which
is normally very similar to this form.
