Reno

Known for being the ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’ there is lots more to do here than lose money in slot machines! Sign up for some river activities such as white water rafting, or kayaking. Reno is also known for its Great Balloon Race and no matter when you visit, there will be some sort of festival going on.

To do:

National Automobile Museum A collection of over 220 classic cars, restored and on display.

Nevada Museum of Art Go here on a Sunday for the best experience including brunch, live music and interesting comprehensive exhibits.

Truckee River Walk Enjoy a stroll along the river (or take a dip!), shopping and food is all close by. This is a good day or night activity but book a reservation if you want to eat here in the evening.

Pioneer Centre for the Performing Art This is a great little theatre to catch a show at. They have a variety of shows from ballet to comedies. Book your tickets online for convenience.

Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is one for the kids. Take an hour to get out of the heat of summer and make sure to catch a show at the theatre, which is reasonably priced.
